About Allegiant
Allegiant is a claims management company. We help people get money back when a lender, car finance company, bank or insurer has treated them unfairly. We started in 2013 as the UK’s first firm set up specifically to pursue payday loan claims. Today we handle four types of claim from our office at Birchwood Park in Warrington, and we are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
What we do
Unaffordable lending. A lender should check you can afford to repay before giving you credit. If they didn’t, you may be able to get interest and charges back. We handle claims about payday loans, credit cards, catalogue credit, car finance, doorstep loans, guarantor loans, overdrafts, and secured loans including second mortgages.
Car finance commission. Many car dealers were paid commission by the finance company without telling the customer. Some dealers could set the customer’s interest rate to earn more, known as a discretionary commission arrangement. We pursue both types of claim.
Vehicle write offs. If your insurer wrote off your car and paid you less than it was worth, we challenge the valuation.
Scams and fraud. If you lost money to a scam and your bank failed to protect you or refused a refund, we take the case up with the bank. This covers purchase, investment, romance and safe account scams, and scams that mix more than one type.
What it costs
We only charge if your claim succeeds. The fee is a percentage of what you get back, between 18% and 36% including VAT depending on how much is recovered. Our fees page has the full table.
You don’t need a claims management company. You can complain to the lender, bank or insurer yourself for free. If they reject your complaint, you can take it to the Financial Ombudsman Service for free. If the firm has gone bust, you may be able to claim from the Financial Services Compensation Scheme, also free. Using us is a choice, not a requirement.
Check we are who we say we are

- Information Commissioner’s Office: Z2569335
- Office: 400 Chadwick House, Birchwood Park, Warrington WA3 6AE (What3Words ///honey.served.prospered)
We never ask for a fee before your claim succeeds. If anyone contacts you claiming to be Allegiant and something doesn’t match, call us on 0345 544 1563 before you do anything else.
Your data
We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office. We share your information only where we need to in order to run your claim, mainly with the lender or insurer and the Financial Ombudsman Service, and we tell you who we are sending it to. Calls are recorded so we can check quality. Our privacy policy covers the rest.
If you’re unhappy with us
Tell us first. Our complaints page explains how. If we haven’t resolved it within eight weeks, or you don’t accept our answer, you can go to the Claims Management Ombudsman, which is part of the Financial Ombudsman Service. It’s free.
Why we are called Allegiant
Say it “uh-LEE-juhnt”. It’s the adjective from “allegiance”: loyal, or owing allegiance to someone. Shakespeare used it in Henry VIII, when Cardinal Wolsey offers the King his “allegiant thanks”. It’s a rare word now. We chose it because it describes the job. When you instruct us, our allegiance is to you, not the lender.
